LED Uplights - How not to compare apples to oranges
The unit depicted to the left is comprised of about 100 10mm led bulbs. This was the technology available when LED uplighting was first introduced into the market. It put out almost as much light as a regular par can, but with much less power consumption. This technology has now become extremely affordable and somewhat obsolete with the onset of 1, 2, and 3 watt led bulb uplights (below).
This unit utilizes 1-watt LED bulbs. It is still cold to the touch and consumes a nominal amount of power but puts out an enormous amount of light more than the one above. The visual difference is rich, consistent colors that reach "up" to the ceiling and bounce back down beautiful ambient light to fill your venue.
